Mind-blowing things I observed after quitting sugar?

Completely quitting sugar is not at all a childsplay if you are a hardcore lover of sweet dishes, cold drinks, etc. But but but hold on, I am not saying it is difficult. Also, you don’t need to entirely quit it. You will be supported in such a way that your journey of leaving sugar becomes a lot easier and at the same time also enjoyable. I was a person who can’t live without cakes and chocolates when I was 15-16 years old. But puberty and some influencers really hit me hard. When corona started in 2020 march I decided to change my habits and here I am completely different being with 0 cravings, a healthy body, and the advantages I got are endless.

But stay with me till the end, because you will only impart changes and knowledge from my journey if you are serious enough towards your body.

I know that sugar is not only one thing that should be stopped taking but in my blogs I only talk about small changes you can do to your body. So, let’s get deep dive into this important topic.

Why it’s your enemy?

You have to understand this thing that the sugar found in a piece of cake is different from the sugar found in a bowl of any fruit. If you are eating any citrus fruit then the fiber there in that doesn’t give the same sugar spike as when you eat some milk chocolate because fiber therein fruits keep you full.

So, here comes the real truth about the evilness of sugar. Our calories in and calorie out decide how healthy are we. Sugar has completely zero nutritive benefits but did you know that 100 grams of sugar contain 387 calories. This led to an overconsumption of the sugary stuff and your subconscious mind need it more, leading to addiction to it and finally those diseases. We will talk about how to get rid of this below.

How you can easily control your cravings?

1 cup, 2 cups, 3 cups, 4 cups of sugar-saturated tea and still not satiated. This is called addiction and craving. We don’t have control over our nervous(brain) system when we crave something. But note the date, today you will thank me for the ways by which you will stop this addiction. Yes, I agree that this will be a slow process, and I ensure you that you will really enjoy the journey. So, how can we minimize the carvings and finally end them? Here are some pointers.

  1. The most important and wise step I took is that I completely replaced table sugar with natural ones.
  2. I added fruits and veggies that contain a good amount of fibers which make me full for a long.
  3. Drink enough water as per your body. It helped me a lot. Keeps me full.
  4. Exercising helped me to burn the excess calories coming from any food whether it comes from sugar or peanut butter. This is one of the most important things on this list because finally, we see total calorie intake, not sugar. So, if your calorie intake also without sugar is high and you are also not active enough then you are harming your body.

Some positive changes you can aspect after minimizing sugar.

I know that you will definitely control it and once you controlled then there are a set of positive changes you can observe in your life. Changes as per my experience are as follows:-

1) Will shed that extra pound easily.

In the above picture, you can see a comparison pic of Rich Williams. He really lost 54 kgs of weight. You can get inspired by him here.

But keep that overall calorie thing in your mind. Minimizing sugar will help you achieve your healthy BMI (calculate and know about it from the link) to some extent. As we have seen above sugar is adding calories without any nutritional benefits.

2) High on energy

You will literally get a boost after minimizing sugary things and by adding nutrient-dense food to your diet. That sudden spike is temporary after intake of sugar. After some time you will feel lethargic and yawning.

Diet rich in protein, carbs, and healthy fats will make you full for longer and hence give you sustained energy. After some time that cravings also get vanished.

3) Get ready for younger-looking skin

Sugar is one of the high glycemic index(GI) food that causes a sudden spike in your blood sugar level(insulin) that increase skin inflammation. This is one of the reasons why you get acne and wrinkles prematurely irrespective of hormonal changes.

So, no need of using that so-called artificial body lotions and bleaches. If you need glowing skin throughout your life then implement these changes.

The realistic way to reduce your sugar intake. (conclusion)

I know that completely cutting out certain food is way difficult as it usually seems. But I have gone through this phase and I think that it is doable. Your journey to a healthy lifestyle should not be boring but it should be enjoyable. Because if you enjoy it then you will definitely maintain it for the long term.

I was a person who eats 4-5 chocolate bars and other sugar products in a day but did you know that I also eat that at the present time. But the difference is that 4-5 bars are now once a week and that is also as a gift for following a good diet and daily exercise. So, what I am trying to say is that you have to identify the food that is contributing to your major sugar intake. Then don’t stop taking it completely in one day. The gradual reduction will make it easier for you. At the same time add healthy foods to your diet with healthier alternatives to sugar.

This is what I am following for a long. Eat each and everything but having it in moderation is what you should be pursuing. I have seen people who are having a hard battle for a healthier life and finally, they quit. They don’t enjoy the road to a healthier lifestyle.

Don’t expect to see a change if you dont make it one
